Many don't know this about me, but I have battled an eating disorder from my teen years on. Because of my personal struggles with fitness and relationship with food, I decided to get my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. This has allowed me to help others overcome their personal obstacles, whatever they might be, keeping them from being the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves. I've been working in fitness at least part time since 2004. I've trained 1:1, small and large group personal training, and drop saddle SPIN.
Beyond my Degree and work experience, I am also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Suspension Training certified, and a certified CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor through the Red Cross.
I am passionate about helping people reach their health and fitness goals, this is a huge part of who I am. It gives me great satisfaction and gratitude to know I help create a healthier and happier lifestyle for others. I’ve been a certified personal trainer for over 16 years, however my coaching and training started years before I received the certifications. I currently hold a National Academy of Sports Medicine certification (NASM) and studied at Glendale Community College to receive my Personal Trainer’s Certification. Additionally, I earned a Business and Leadership certification from Chaparral Career College of Tucson and I am currently studying to complete my nutritional certification. This all comes from my heart and the inherent drive to inspire you to be the best You!
You may catch me getting my dance on during class, I love to keep the energy up and deliver a fun workout environment. It is very rewarding to see each of you improve your health and feel amazing after an OTF workout.
When I’m not coaching, I love to mountain bike and have earned the title “State Champion” for 2013 from the Mountain Bike Association of Arizona (MBAA). I enjoy trail running, hiking, and camping with my husband and two awesome children, really anything outdoors! It’s all about sports in our house, volleyball and soccer have taken over our Saturdays…Love it!!
